Cocoa Beach, Orlando, Titusville, Port Canaveral, Cape Canaveral Fishing Report – June 2017

Well summer is officially here and so are the fish, let's just keep are fingers crossed on the weather this month. This has to be by far one of my favorite times of the year to fish and its finally here along with its multiple species to target. Amberjack, Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Trigger fish, Sea bass, Kingfish, and red snapper have all been plentiful out deep sea on our bottom fishing trips!

The snook bite goes off also during the summer months as they start to spawn in all the inlets to the south of us. My favorite inlet to fish is the St. Lucie inlet. The snook get so thick in that inlet its like fishing out of a bath tub. Fish from all sizes and some up to 30lbs. You want to make sure you have plenty of live bait and also a variety of bait just in case one type isn't working. The best baits I’ve had luck with is live sardines and live greenies and thread fins. Just make sure you have plenty of sabiki rigs to catch your bait.

The trout and redfish bite has also been good in both the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon. Redfish from slot size to over 40inches are being caught along with some big sea trout. The artificial bite has been decent but they have been chewing really good on the cut bait.

If your interested in fishing for tarpon, snook, redfish, or trout give us a call and will get you out there, I am also offering special snook trips down in stuart so give us a call if your interested.

Well that’s all for you this month so good luck and see you out on the water!!
